A year ago, May 15th 2011, many people encamped in Plaza del Sol,Madrid. They were unhappy with the Spanish political system and also angry with the consequences of the crisis in Spain. Immediately, many other cities in Spain followed Madrid and the most important squares of Spain were squatted for weeks. Those squares became public discussion spaces, where anyone could take a microphone and say whatever they had to say. The movement was getting stronger until the police decided to evict all the squares of the country, leading to tense situations in some cases such as Madrid or Barcelona.
