One of the places I loved the most in Switzerland is the MFOPark, in the northen quarter of Oerlikon, Zurich. This Park was constructed in the area of Maschinenfabrik Oerlikon, an old engine factory. What makes it so special is that it has a metal structure that articulates the park, covered by several types of plants. There are different levels, so you can relax in the shade in the bottom level or enjoy the nice views while sunbathing in the top level.
In this park there are no trees at all, but walking in it you get the feeling of being in a tiny forest in the middle of the city, and you can even climb the trees of that forest just by climbing some steps. All details have been made so that we think we are surrounded by nature. The floor of the ground floor, for example, is covered by lots of little glasses shaped as little rocks in green, blue and turquoise colour that makes us feel as if we are walking over water.
